We offer a few kits (kits will include both the pattern and wool), which you can see here: https://rughook.com/collections/rug-hooking-kits-by-honey-bee-hive
In addition, most patterns that are on the smaller side (typically less than 15" x 15") are a good place to start. Here are some ideas for starter patterns.

Most of our customers order our patterns, and then purchase the wool separately. You can see our selection of wool here: https://rughook.com/collections/dorr-wool Our wool comes pre-washed, so all you need to do it cut it into strips before hooking with it.
Also, if you see any other patterns on our site that you like, let us know and we can let you know if they make good starter patterns.
Finally, we have a network of rug hooking instructors around the US and Canada who can provide some training on technique, help with color planning and wool selection, and also some motivation and support! If you are interested in working with a rug hooking instructor, let us know and we can see if we can find one in your area (just need to know your City and State).
