We are always looking for new pattern designs.
Most often we license pattern designs (vs. outright purchases), but we also do purchase perpetual license as well.
We typically offer a commission for exclusive printing rights and non-exclusive rights (i.e., if you want to continue to print patterns, or license the patterns to others). The commission is based on the on net sales of the patterns. This approach works best initially, but from time to time, we also purchase perpetual license rights.
Under the license, we obtain the right to print and sell the patterns, and in exchange, pay the designer a commission based on the sales of the patterns. We typically pay commissions on an annual basis, but if the volume of sales is large enough we will also pay semi-annually and quarterly.
